Cookie policy
On our website, we use different types of cookies. We believe it is important that you have control over your online privacy. We want to inform you as fully as possible about which cookies we use and for what purposes.
1. Cookies
You can think of cookies as small text files that a website places on your computer, tablet or mobile phone when you visit the website. These cookies store information about your visit to the website. Personal data is processed when these cookies are placed. Through the use of these cookies, a website can recognise you on a subsequent visit.
2. Types of cookies
There is a difference between functional and non-functional cookies. Functional cookies are placed on every visit, as they are necessary for the website to work properly. In addition to functional cookies, we also place analytics cookies by default (a non-functional cookie). This cookie is not required for the website to function. It tells us which parts of the website are popular and where we can improve our website. If you agree to the placement of these cookies, we also place other non-functional cookies. These cookies serve various purposes and allow us to improve our services. For example, we use cookies on our website to show online surveys, test improvements to our website, display social media buttons, or show relevant ads for our services on other sites.
3. Privacy
Because we consider your online privacy very important, we want to inform you as fully as possible about which cookies we use and for what purposes. The overview below shows which cookies we place by default when you visit the website and what we place when you accept these cookies.
4. Functional cookies
Functional cookies are necessary for a website to function properly. These cookies are therefore placed by default and are not removed if you do not accept cookies. Functional cookies allow you to stay logged in during your visit to our website. They also ensure that products remain in your shopping basket when you want to buy something in our webshop.
5. Cookies to measure visits
Analytics cookies enable us to measure website visits. These statistics give us insight into how often our website is used, what information visitors are looking for, and which pages are visited most. This tells us which parts of the website are popular and where we can improve our website. We continuously analyse and improve the website to make the experience as pleasant as possible for visitors. The statistics we collect cannot be traced back to individuals, so this data is always used anonymously. We use Google Analytics to gain insights from the data. We always place analytics cookies when you visit our website.
Analytics cookies collect, among other things, the following data:
- The number of visitors to our web pages.
- The duration of the visit.
- The searches performed on the website.
- Data about the browser and device you use to visit our website, such as operating system and screen size.
- How you arrived at our website, for example whether you clicked on one of our ads or on a link in an email or newsletter.
- Some anonymous data entered in a form.
- Items you have purchased or added to the shopping basket on the website.
For more information about what Google does with the collected data, please see the Google privacy statements. This statement may change regularly.
We never provide the personal data you enter (such as name, address, BSN, phone number) to Google. Read more about how we handle personal data in our privacy statement.
6. Cookies for social media integration
On our website, we show videos and other content that you can promote and share on social networks via a button. For these buttons to work, social media companies such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Google place cookies so they can recognise you when you are logged in to their social network. They also use these to collect data about the page you share. For more information about the data social media companies collect, please refer to the privacy statements of these companies. These may change regularly.
7. Cookies for improvements
We continuously test our website to offer you the best user experience. We want to know whether the changes we make to the website are actually improvements. That is why we often roll out improvements as a test first. We do this with Google Optimize or VWO. This means visitors may see a modified version of the website at the same time. In this way, we continuously optimise the website. Cookies are used to ensure you see the right version of a page and to measure results.
8. Cookies for research
We use Hotjar as a tool to conduct research on the website. It allows you to leave feedback on the website. We also use an online survey in which we ask for your opinion about our website, which helps us keep improving it. The cookie ensures you are not shown the survey unnecessarily often. The cookie also passes on information about your operating system and the browser you use to visit the website.
To see how visitors use our website, we also use other Hotjar features. This tool also records mouse clicks, mouse movements and scrolling behaviour of visitors on our website. Hotjar collects information about visited pages, the browser you use, the type of device and operating system. We use this data to keep improving the website.
9. Cookies to show LeadBot on other websites
We use online advertising to promote our services. We do this as precisely as possible, so we keep costs low and avoid showing unnecessary ads. For this, we use Google AdWords, Google Dynamic Remarketing, Facebook Custom Audiences, Microsoft Bing Ads and DoubleClick.
These cookies make it possible to:
- Keep track of ads you have already seen, so we avoid showing you the same ads from us.
- See how many visitors click or have clicked on our ads.
- Track how many visitors purchase a service from us after clicking on an ad. This is needed to analyse the effectiveness of ads.
- Track whether you have already purchased certain services from us, so you are not shown unnecessary ads.
Even if you do not accept cookies, you may still come across our ads online, as not all of our ads use cookies. Cookies do, however, make it possible to show you more relevant ads and avoid unnecessary ones. For more information about what we do with stored data, please see our privacy statement. It may be amended regularly.
10. Blocking and deleting cookies
If you do not want cookies from our website to be placed, you can indicate this in the cookie notice you see on your first visit to our website. If you have previously accepted our cookies, this notice will no longer appear and you will first need to delete our cookies.
You can also choose to block the placement of cookies via your browser. If you block all cookies, websites may not work as well. It is better to selectively disable only the unwanted cookies. You can do this in your browser settings. Note that this also immediately blocks cookies from other websites you visit.
